We would like to collect items through October and will schedule a fellowship evening for the congregation and friends to put together the shoeboxes the first week in November. We will be placing a collection bin in the alcove by the church office for any items purchased or you may collect your items at home and plan to bring them in November. Samaritan’s Ministry recommends items to purchase each month to have a great collection to pack in the boxes in November. For the month of Maythey recommended hygiene items, comb, hair brush, bar soap, tooth brush (please note toothpaste is no longer allowed as of 2017), and wash clothes are just a few of the items.Let’s see how many children we can share the gospel with through this ministry!Thank You!Catherine WilliamsOpportunities for the WeekTuesday, May 9 Women’s Fellowship Circle Meetings10:00 AMCircle # 3, Church Parlor11:30 AMPrayer meeting in Old Salem 5:30 PMCircle # 5, Stelter Haus 7:30 PMCircle # 4, Stelter HausWednesday, May 105:30 PMPrayer in Prayer Room 6:00 PM Family “Oasis” Supper 6:30 PM Handbell Choir 6:45 PMDiscussion on last Sunday’s Service, Acts 2:42-47 7:30 PMSanctuary ChoirThursday, May 1112:15 PMLunchtime Lectures “Have We Heard It All Yet?”Nola Knouse, Archie Davis CenterFifth Sunday of Easter Mother’s Day9:00 AMEveryone is invited to a breakfast honoring ourMothers and Church Mothers, Fellowship Hall 10:30 AMMorning Worship 3:00 PMMoramus Chorale and Home Church Choir Concert,Home Moravian Church, concert free, donationsaccepted God’s Word for TodayActs 2:42-4742 They werecontinually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, tothe breaking of bread andto prayer. 43 Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and manywonders andsigns were taking place through the apostles.44 And all those who had believedwere together andhad all things in common;45 and theybeganselling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need.46 Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, andbreaking breadfrom house to house, they were taking theirmeals together with gladness andsincerity of heart,47 praising God andhaving favor with all the people.
