Donate Your Old Coats to Give A Kid A Coat Program:  The Church collected gently used coats for the Give A Kid A Coat program to give the gift of warmth to those in need.  A total of 44 coats were collected and transported to A Cleaner World where the items were cleaned, repaired and turned over to the Salvation Army for distribution.  TV station FOX 8  sponsored the campaign and the Family Life Sunday School Class coordinated Ardmore’s campaign.  Scarves, gloves and hats collected were placed in the Blessing Box.

“Drive Thru Ashes” - Ash Wednesday February 14

Ash Wednesday is the start of the holy season of Lent, a time for reflection and repentance in preparation for the celebration of Easter. A “drive thru service” was developed to help people who may be sick, who have mobility issues, people on their way to work or families on their way to school.  Over 50 individuals received dispensation of ashes and a prayer or conversation with the pastor by driving through our parking lot.  A traditional service of Lent was also held in the sactuary.

Holy Week Services

The week before Easter is known as “Holy Week”.  During this week, the congregation uses a manual entitled “The Readings of Holy Week”.  Services are held at Ardmore each evening during Holy Week (Sunday - Thursday) at 7:00pm and Friday at 2:15pm and 7:00pm.  The readings are biblical references from the New Testament following the activities of Jesus Christ during each day of the week telling of his sufferings, death, resurrection, and ascension.  The Friday evening service is A Tennebrae Service.
